With the dust settling on Betfred Challenge Cup Finals weekend, it’s time to find out the winners of our Rugby League Cares prize draw.
First of all, thank you to everyone who bought tickets – your generosity will make a huge difference to the Seriously Injured Players Fund (previously the Rugby League Benevolent Fund).
A number of the long-term beneficiaries of the Fund were at Wembley on Saturday, as part of the ongoing support they receive – including Danny Scott, whose injury playing for Moldgreen in 2004 was a key factor behind the formation of the Benevolent Fund the following year. Chris and Glenda King, whose late son Matt also suffered life-changing injuries in 2004 on his debut for London Broncos Academy, were also in attendance.
