When they do, the RL Cares Seriously Injured Players Fund (formerly named the Benevolent Fund) provides lifelong support to the players and their families who have experienced life-changing events on the field.   ## Still living, just living differently. --- The work of the Seriously Injured Players Fund is to support individuals and their families in successfully navigating through the unknown. When a life-changing injury occurs, life as we know it comes to a halt, bringing along uncertainty and new challenges.   ###### MATT KING BURSARY ## Supporting tomorrow's inspirational rugby league leaders today --- The Rugby Football League, in partnership with the Seriously Injured Players Fund, is making an annual fund of £10,000 available to be awarded to young leaders, the Matt King Educational Bursary. Named in memory of Matt King OBE, a former London Broncos Academy player who became an inspirational leader after suffering a spinal injury, the bursary is open to young people aged 16 to 25. Each year, up to £10,000 is awarded to those involved in rugby league at any level, helping them invest in themselves and the sport.
