Rugby League Cares is proud to confirm Mattioli Woods as an associate sponsor of the charity’s epic 2025 fundraising bike ride, DC2NYC.
Mattioli Woods’s support will see the Leicester-based company’s logo feature on the jerseys worn by the riders involved in the 400-mile cycling challenge from Washington DC to New York City in September.
The sponsorship further cements the strong relationship between RL Cares and Mattioli Woods, one of the UK's leading providers of pension consultancy and wealth management services which has been providing expert advice to professional and semi-professional players for the last seven years.
RL Cares Partnerships Manager Nav Uppal said: “We are delighted to have Mattioli Woods on board for our fantastic cycling challenge.
“Mattioli Woods’s involvement in DC2NYC is recognition of the importance of our work delivering welfare services to the sport’s most important stakeholders.”
Mattioli Woods spokesman Adrian Firth said: “Mattioli Woods is really pleased to continue our longstanding support for RL Cares through our association with this amazing event.
“We are thrilled to help RL Cares raise the funds it needs to continue its important support for some of the most vulnerable people in rugby league communities.
“We would like to wish all the brave riders who are taking on this fantastic challenge the very best of luck and urge rugby league fans everywhere to sponsor a rider.”
All proceeds from the ride will enable RL Cares to deliver brain health education programmes to current players and provide dementia support to retired professional players and their families.
The riders on DC2NYC include Rugby League Hall of Fame inductees Adrian Morley and Paul Sculthorpe MBE, who will fly to Washington on Friday September 5 before spending six days in the saddle cycling through five US States en route to Manhattan.
