RL Cares and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund are thrilled to welcome GBR-Price, the Yorkshire-based specialists in rail, civil engineering, construction and design, manufacture and installation of Depot Equipment, as new sponsors for the 2026 Ciclo Italiano.
The annual cycling challenge organised by Rugby League Cares to raise money for seriously injured players and their families through the Benevolent Fund is heading for Italy for the first time this summer, with a 500km circular trip from Pisa through the stunning heart of Tuscany.
And the GBR-Price logo will feature prominently on the jerseys of the intrepid cyclists thanks to a shirt sponsorship deal.
Francis Stephenson, the former England forward who now manages the Rugby League Benevolent Fund, said:
“On behalf of all the players who have been supported by the Benevolent Fund over the last two decades, and those who will be supported in the future, we thank GBR-Price for their generous shirt sponsorship for the 2026 Ciclo Italiano.
“The annual cycling challenge organised by Rugby League Cares is our biggest fund-raising event of the year, and it couldn’t succeed without sponsorship – so we are hugely grateful to the team at GBR-Price for coming on board.
“With Adrian Morley leading our team of cyclists we’ve got some high quality people involved on the ride, and a high-quality company like GBR-Price are a perfect fit.”
GBR-Price have earned a national reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects. With a focus on safety, innovation, and sustainability, they combine technical expertise with a commitment to people and communities.
The Ciclo Italiano starts in Pisa on Monday June 8 and takes in the cities of Florence and Arezzo, and the medieval hill towns of San Quirico and San Gimignano.
GBR-Price join The Bartlett Group, NL Commercial, BOOST Energy and Sport, apparel partners Oxen Sports and title partners Pickups Self-Storage in supporting the 2026 Ciclo Italiano.
All proceeds from the ride will go to the Benevolent Fund which supports seriously-injured players and their families, and now links to the Brain Health Fund which was set up two years ago.
