Wolf Competitions backing Ciclo Italiano

Rugby League Cares are delighted that Wolf Competitions have extended their support of the sport by becoming an official partner of the 2026 Ciclo Italiano.

Wolf Competitions, a UK-based competition brand founded with the aim of providing life-changing opportunities to their participants, recently agreed a multi-year deal with Rugby League Commercial to become a partner of Super League, the Challenge Cups and the England national teams, as well as the official Super League Predictor game.

Now they will also support the Rugby League Benevolent Fund for seriously-injured players and their families, by backing the team of riders taking on a five-day cycling challenge in Tuscany in June.

James Scott, Founder of Wolf Competitions, said:

“We’re excited to be involved in Rugby League at all levels, and supporting the Benevolent Fund through the Ciclo Italiano is a perfect example of that.

“It’s a great reflection of the spirit of Rugby League that so many people come together to support players who suffer life-changing injuries through the Benevolent Fund, and we are delighted to do our bit to support the riders who will be cycling in Tuscany this summer.

“Our ethos at Wolf Competitions is creating moments that people will remember – and the Ciclo Italiano is going to be an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.”

Francis Stephenson, the former England forward who is the General Manager of the Benevolent Fund, added:

“We thank James and his team at Wolf Competitions for getting behind the Ciclo Italiano. It’s our major fund-raising event for 2026 and it couldn’t happen without the generous support of our partners – who will all be making a significant contribution to improving the lives of seriously-injured players and their families through the Benevolent Fund.”

The Ciclo Italiano starts in Pisa on Monday June 8 and takes in the cities of Florence and Arezzo, and the medieval hill towns of San Quirico and San Gimignano.

Wolf Competitions join GBR-Price, The Bartlett Group, NL Commercial, BOOST Energy and Sport, Vawtx Ltd, apparel partners Oxen Sports and title partners Pickups Self Storage in supporting the 2026 Ciclo Italiano.

All proceeds from the ride will go to the Benevolent Fund which supports seriously injured players and their families, and now links to the Brain Health Fund which was set up two years ago.
