The Rugby League Cares Brain Health Fund has been making an amazing difference to the lives of players past and present since it was established in 2023.
Over the last 12 months, the fund has enabled RL Cares to deliver education workshops to current players, provide expert advice on issues around memory loss and cognitive impairment to retired players, and seen the sport lead the way with scientific research into the impact of collisions on brain health.
Following their meeting on November 27th, we caught up with key members of the Brain Health Fund committee, including its Chairman, David Hinchliffe, the Rugby Football League’s Strategic Lead on Performance Science and Research, Professor Ben Jones, and RL Cares Director of Wellbeing, Steve McCormack.
